Our client, a respected law firm in Harrogate, is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join their Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules and other regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Finance Manager in delivering an accurate, efficient accounts service.
  • Maintain and reconcile office and client bank accounts daily.
  • Ensure compliance with Solicitors' Accounts Rules and firm policies.
  • Process client and office transactions, supplier invoices, and payments.
  • Assist with month-end, year-end, and audit preparation.
  • Monitor overdue accounts and support collection efforts.
  • Provide guidance to colleagues on accounts procedures and financial compliance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold financial integrity across the firm.

About You

  • Previous experience in a legal cashiering or accounts role, ideally within a law firm.
  • Strong understanding of Solicitors' Accounts Rules.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confident using accounting and case management systems.
  • Team player with good communication and problem-solving skills.
