Ashley Kate are pleased to be working alongside our not-for-profit client in the North West area in recruiting an Investment Manager to join their Business finance function. This role is permanent and working from home, with occasional travel to the Manchester office/Clients.

We seek a professional, with extensive experience, who can join this team in managing a high quality Investment portfolio.

Key Responsibilities 
·Make initial assessment of inbound investment opportunities
·Participate in carrying out in depth evaluations of triaged opportunities to assess quality of the management team, business models and financials, driving the transaction forward
·Meet and build relationships with founders of start ups moving through the internal investment process and participate in internal DD review meetings
·Draft investment proposals for Investment committee consideration
·Input into portfolio reporting and management,
·Meet delivery requirements contractual project outputs
·Maintain and support the development of the investor network, sourcing. lead investors for investment opportunities
·Support the service’s revenue through generation of deal success fees as a result of completed transactions 

Skills Required 
·Transactional experience in investing, early-stage Angel or VC
·An understanding of the early-stage VC market and its business model
·Ability to understand financial projections
·At least degree level education and relevant additional professional business training
·Experience in working to FCA standards, proving advice to qualified businesses; HNWI and other finance professionals
·Experience of working with HNWI and / or Angel Syndicates
·Proven track record of operating relevant processes and procedures to support effective deal identification, due diligence, deal structuring and closing
·Proven track record of working in professional Fund Management teams ideally within public sector environments.
