Do you have HR experience in the Education sector or the NHS?


Have you worked with shift contracts, safeguarding, complex employment contracts, pay scales, and with local authorities and unions?

Ashley Kate are delighted to be supporting a leading education provider in their search to add an experienced HR Partner to join them on a full time permanent basis. It is the HR Partner's responsibility to support and handle cases, provide training and advice, ensure that all policies are followed, and ensure that all actions taken are consistent with all policies.

In addition, the HR Partner collaborates closely with the Chief People Officer and the rest of the HR team to work on and implement national initiatives.

Your Background 


  • A background working in Education or the NHS - Essential
  • Experience of working with Unions  - Essential 
  • Ability to operate in a consultative manner.
  • Able to prioritise and organise multiple projects.
  • Solid understanding of employment law.
  • Broad generalist HR experience with strong influencing skills.
  • Minimum CIPD level 5 or equivalent
  • Extensive management experience in the following areas: Recruitment, Selection, Retention, ER, Trade Unions, Performance Management, Policy & Process Development, and Change Management.


The role


  • Provide proactive support on-site and remotely, and manage case loads across two locations
  • Assist in the development of appropriate policies and procedures, and ensure the advice is consistent with the Trust's policies and best practices.
  • Partner with organisational leaders to gather feedback and make recommendations on HR policies to help align programs with organisational goals.
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement programs supporting strategic people initiatives.
  • Investigate employee complaints and grievances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Oversee employment needs and/or programmes that support staffing, such as managing temporary employees, alternative work schedules etc.
  • Provide guidance and coaching on employment-related issues and/or concerns to management and employees.
