What if your next HR role wasn't about having all the answers? What if it was about becoming the person everyone turns to when they need one?
We are working on a standalone HR opportunity with an East London business that has no interest in finding the most strategic or corporate HR professional in the market. They want someone with common sense. Someone who can build trust. Someone who can listen to both sides of a story and find the middle ground. Someone confident enough to challenge managers, but emotionally intelligent enough to bring them with you.
This could be the perfect move for an HR Advisor or experienced HR Officer who is ready for more ownership. In this role, you'll be the go-to person for all things HR. You'll manage the day-to-day people processes that keep the business running smoothly from maintaining employee records and preparing payroll information, through to onboarding, offboarding, absence management, and benefits administration.
You'll support managers with probation reviews, employee relations issues, investigations, and disciplinary processes, helping them navigate people challenges with confidence. You'll also play a key role in handling HR systems, pension administration, data protection requests and ensuring HR documentation, policies and procedures remain up to date and fit for purpose.
The successful person will already have experience in a HR role and be comfortable supporting managers with employee relations matters. You'll have a good understanding of UK employment law, a high level of attention to detail and the ability to deal with confidential information professionally and discreetly. Strong communication skills and confidence using HR systems, Word and Excel are equally important.
You'll have support around you. You'll have senior leaders who want HR's input. You'll have the chance to shape how things are done. Most importantly, you'll have the space to develop into the role rather than being expected to walk in knowing everything from day one.
The business is fully office-based, highly diverse, fast-paced, and refreshingly human.
