Ashley Kate HR Are working with a busy food manufacturing client based in the Northampton area as a HR Officer.

In this role as an HR Officer, you'll work closely with both managers and employees, acting as a trusted partner within the business. You'll play a vital part in our HR team, building strong, positive relationships to deliver clear, practical guidance on HR matters.

Salary up to £41,000 per annum

Full time and Permanent based onsite 5 days per week - must be flexible to work a twilight shift as and when required which would be a minimum of 1 day per week.

A key part of this role will be managing Employee Relations:

· Make sure managers fully understand policies and apply them fairly and consistently, balancing good practice and legal requirements with the needs of the business. Always be on the lookout for ways to improve processes and recommend positive changes.

· Stay ahead by holding regular meetings with key stakeholders to spot and tackle any potential issues early.

· Work alongside managers during disciplinary, grievance, and appeal meetings from helping with investigations to offering guidance during the hearing, taking notes, and confirming outcomes.

· Provide clear, practical HR advice on important topics like disciplinary issues, grievances, and performance concerns, making sure everything aligns with employment law and internal policies.

Other responsibilities include:

· Managing Absence - Make sure our attendance procedures are applied fairly and consistently, following the absence policy.

· Recruitment - Partner with department managers to keep track of staffing needs, comparing current headcount to what's planned, spotting any gaps, and reviewing key roles in line with our succession plans

· Training - Help run on-site training sessions to develop managers at all levels.

· Engagement - Prepare and oversee KPI reports to share updates at key meetings. Serve as the main contact for employee questions or concerns.

About you HR Officer:

  • CIPD qualified or part qualified at Level 5
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing or fast paced organisation in a HR role
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft office and HR systems
