HR Manager - Sheffield - Hybrid working

Full time / Circa £50k / Generous benefits

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Manager to join a well-established organisation operating across South Yorkshire. With around 100 employees and offices in Sheffield, Rotherham, and Barnsley, this is a truly pivotal standalone role where you will shape the HR function and drive forward change.

After several years of stability, the business is ready to take a fresh look at its people strategy. The incoming HR Manager will be instrumental in reviewing current practices, implementing improvements, and supporting the leadership team to develop a modern, forward-thinking approach to HR.

The role

You'll be both hands-on and strategic - responsible for day-to-day HR operations while also leading longer-term planning and transformation. This includes:

  • Reviewing all HR processes, policies, and systems to identify efficiencies and improvements.
  • Acting as the key point of contact for all HR matters, advising the MD and shareholders.
  • Supporting managers and staff across all three sites with employee relations, performance, and engagement.
  • Ensuring HR practices remain compliant, consistent, and aligned with business goals.
  • Leading on HR Strategy moving forwards.

About you

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is confident operating in a standalone HR role with a mix of operational and strategic responsibilities.
  • Has proven experience of driving change and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Is approachable, pragmatic, and passionate about building a people-first culture.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified.
