Ashley Kate are currently working with a well-established Financial services organisation with a base in Bristol, who are looking for a HR Generalist to join their team!  
 
£35,000 - £40,000 DOE
 
This role sits as part of the HR team and providing support to the business and interact with the people managers within the organisation.  It is a varied role and provides expertise across a broad range of HR disciplines, namely employee relations, policy management, talent and learning and development.  It also collaborates with HR specialist teams: HR operations, talent acquisition, HRIS, data and analytics.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
 
·Manage the probation process with people managers and escalate concerns and complex cases to HRBPs.
·Manage sickness absence, occupational health referrals, family leave requests and associate queries escalated via HR Connect
·Ensure the annual PMP process is carried out by associates and people managers by sharing timelines, process and data with HRBPs and leaders
·Prepare promotion letters and other 'one off/nonstandard' documentation - whether
·Identify emerging employee relations issues and escalate to HRBPs as appropriate
·Attend grievance investigation, meetings and first stage disciplinary hearings.  Advising people managers on these steps.  Prepare supporting documentation with guidance as needed.
·Work on specific HR projects for clients or as required by and with HRBPs
·Respond to HR queries escalated via HR Connect - i.e. terms and conditions, process, Workday.
·One off HR administration as required
·Respond to queries from associates and/or people managers regarding internal promotions and career opportunities
·Update existing processes and procedures and draft new ones in line with changes in the business/employment law
·Adhere to the SOX compliance procedure for auditing purposes
·Good interpersonal skills and the ability to manage relationships with both associates at all levels of the organisation. Collaborative and a team orientated mindset.
·Ability to prioritise workload with conflicting deadlines and work with minimum supervision as required, whilst keen to learn and develop working with HRBP and wider HR team on complex matters.
 
What we're looking:
·A HR qualification such as CIPD is preferred
·Experience of working in an HR role providing client advice and support.
·Knowledge of UK employment law and keeping informed of HR best practice
·Knowledge of relevant HR policies and procedures within an organization and experience of interpreting and implementing such policies with HRBPs and people managers.
·Experience of using an HRIS, including extracting and analysing data coupled with excellent excel skills.
