We are pleased be partnering our client on a retained basis in their search for a HR Director to join their Board on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the CEO, you be responsible for all of the people related activity, both strategically and operationally. You will lead on resource planning and recruitment, training and development, alongside managing a variety of ER issues at any one time. You will be CIPD (7) qualified, passionate about people and competent with experience of leading and running an HR function and team, in a medium to large sized business
You will be able to communicate and influence at senior level, building strong relationships.


Responsibilities


  • Act as the face of HR and as a role model, ensuring best practice is evident throughout the organisation
  • Responsible for senior level decision making and both day to day HR management and strategic direction
  • Develop and implement an HR strategy in line with the business plan, ensuring the HR plans support the needs of the business but are flexible to cope with sudden changes
  • Conduct training needs analysis at all levels and implement a training plan with input from department heads and manage a training budget.
  • Work with all Board members to advise on pay and benefits, including pensions and implement any changes
  • Ensure recruitment, selection and induction processes are carried out in a timely, fair and compliant way to employ the best talent available
  • Develop succession plans
  • Involvement in all change management processes including mergers and acquisitions
  • Provide day to day advice to line managers on all HR issues and management of employees
  • Responsible for all aspects of Health & Safety and Data compliance including employee security and quality accreditations i.e. ISO 9001/14001
