Head of HR
Ashley Kate are delighted to be supporting a leading Law firm in their search for a Head of HR.
This role is based in East Oxfordshire with hybrid working available.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in an HR Managerial role, preferably within a professional services environment. This is a true generalist HR role by having sole responsibility for the HR Function and also sits within the Senior Management Team. Reporting directly to the Managing Partner of the Firm, the Head of HR (HR Manager) has the opportunity to work on exciting projects and initiatives. The Managing Partner is extremely open to ideas which makes this role ideal for someone who really wants to make a difference.
·Maintain and develop internal procedures & policies.
·Responsible for all employee-related issues, including grievances, disciplinaries, absences, etc.
·Responsible for implementing and maintaining the Firm's performance review process
·Responsible for the Firm's HRIS system, PeopleHR including maintenance of the system and providing regular reports to the partners as needed
·Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the Firm's overall strategy and vision
·Responsible for the Firm's recruitment and selection process, together with the Senior HR Administrator
·Responsible for the Firm's Wellbeing initiatives and Wellbeing Programme, together with the Wellbeing Committee
·Responsibility for the Firm's employee benefits together with the CFO
·Assess training needs regularly and work with the L&D Coordinator on rolling out training plans
·Help and organise the Trainee Solicitor Programme, working together with the Partner in charge of the firm's trainees
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
·Proven experience in an HR Managerial role, ideally within a law firm environment
·Experience with an HRIS systems and databases is necessary
·Engagement with staff and managers / department heads is essential - the successful candidate must be happy to develop these relationships right at the start and must be people oriented
·Knowledge of GDPR is essential
·CIPD Level 5 or other degree in HR related field is required
·Proven leadership skills and experience in strategy is required
·Excellent presentation skills
