Head of Accounting | Full time and Permanent | Hybrid | Office located in Farringdon| Salary DOE
 
Ashley Kate are thrilled to be working with a global construction company who are in the market searching for a Head of Accounting to manage the local and global accounting teams across the group. You will be in charge of ensuring the proper preparation of financials are in accordance with legal, tax and other standards as required by local and international standards, to provide transparent, consistent and comparable financial information to the groups shareholders and financing partners.
 
Head of Accounting - About the role
·Responsible for all accounting related activities within the group
·Part of the extended group management team (N-1) reporting to the group CFO
·Responsible to develop and implement the finance transformation program and specifically
1. Implementing a new accounting system (e.g. IFRS)
2. Empowering the global accounting teams through training, qualification and digitalization
3. Providing financial information to shareholders and financial partners both better and faster
4. Driving the upgrade SAP S/4
·Manage the accounting teams in Switzerland, Germany and UK with ca. 20 employees
·Ensure the proper financial closing and reporting for the consolidated group financials and each group entity.
·Manage communication with auditors
·Manage covenant reporting for financial institutions
 
Head of Accounting  - About you
·University degree or CPA or similar
·At least 3 years Work experiences in a leadership position in an international accounting environment (consolidation, local GAP with IFRS (or US GAAP or Swiss GAAP FER) group financials, handling of the group accounting manual)
·SAP R/3 working experience and understanding of the overall SAP System
·Very good working knowledge of Ms Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) required, as well as some experience with PowerBI or similar
·Languages: German and English fluent - German is required to communicate with and lead the German speaking accounting teams
·Reliable, structured and efficient
·Very strong analytical skills
·Ability motivate and develop globally distributed teams
