Finance Assistant - About the role
You will be responsible for predominantly the Accounts Payable responsibilities such as inputting purchase invoices and credit notes for both site on a daily basis, daily passing of invoices ensuring that any invoices without job numbers or costs are referred to relevant department, manually inputting overhead invoices and reconciliation for supplier accounts between the account system and statements. Other role accountabilities consist of contacting customers requesting payment for their account, following up invoice queries and liaising with operational teams.
Finance Assistant - About you:
·Work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
·Proven communication skills both written and verbal.
·Proven problem solving skills - ability to consider several possible options and decide on most appropriate method.
·Ability to take on and follow instructions given by management.
·Positive organisational skills - ability to prioritise own workload.
·Good understanding of purchase ledger practices and terminology required.
·Good working knowledge of Accounting Systems (Dynamics Great Plains - desirable).
·Basic Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
·Attention to detail
