Accountancy Practice, Carlisle

Ashley Kate Finance are working with a well-established and friendly accountancy practice in Carlisle who are looking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practice experience who enjoys working closely with clients and being part of a supportive, professional environment.

The role:

You will be involved in a broad range of responsibilities, including:

  • Preparing accounts for sole traders and partnerships
  • Liaising directly with clients to gather required documentation and resolve queries
  • Advising clients on digital bookkeeping solutions and best practice
  • Monitoring deadlines and ensuring compliance with current accounting regulations
  • Supporting the wider accountancy team with general administration and ad-hoc financial tasks

About you:

  • AAT qualified (or qualified by experience - encouraged to apply)
  • Previous experience within an accountancy practice is preferred
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similar
  • Strong attention to detail with good organisational skills
  • Confident communicator with a professional and approachable manner

Optional Opportunity for Chartered Accountants

For ACA / ACCA qualified accountants seeking wider exposure, this role can be tailored to include:

  • Trader accounts preparation and personal tax responsibilities
  • Involvement in departmental management, review, and leadership
